The True Tale Series
This series from across Aotearoa/New Zealand contains fascinating short stories of authors’ memories of life in their area. What makes these books so special is the stories are written by people who generally have never written before; their stories of both past and present experiences capture insights into their lives. Without this national True Tales Series, many of these stories may not ever be told. They are now saved for future generations and are a record of societal norms and everyday life throughout the generations.
The Treasury gathers, edits and publishes True Tales from around our rohe. All but the Northern Coromandel series, and True Tales of the Thames Hospital have been published by The Treasury. Yet another wonderful volunteer of The Treasury gifts her time and skills as Editor, well supported by an active Publications team.
